I love your blog! You’re doing a great job! Congratulations!!! I’m going to tell my students about it. I’ve been doing a blog with my students and 6 partners for 2 years and it seems that people are running out of breath… or getting bored, I don’t know. Anyway, I’d really like to keep it going and yougave me an idea: music. I’m a digital migrant, not a native… Can you help me? How do you do it? Thanks… and again, keep at it! It’s super!Martine Costantini.

  2. Liliana Mihalachi Says:

    Thank you very much, Martine!
You’re always welcome if you want to post materials on our blog.
You mean how we put music on our blog? There’s an option called SONIFIC, you just have to select it from here and then choose the playlist.
As for the audio files, you can record everything using Audacity (download it from the internet for free).
    I hope that’ll help.
Let me know if you still need help with music. Mr Molloy, our Irish partner, is an ICT teacher, so he will also be able to advise you on that.

    All the best
    Liliana Mihalachi

  12. Liliana Says:

    Hello, Mignon!

I remember that I e-mailed you the steps that you need to follow in order to post on the blog. Unfortunately, I haven’t had access to the internet for about two weeks; that’s why I am writing to you back so late. I will e-mail you again.

  13. Marie-France Munar Says:

    Hi Liliana and all partners,
I am a junior highschool teacher from France and I have found your blog on e-twinning and I know you have won the European label which is more than deserved.
I have been having a thorough look at your blog as I am completly hopeless at the time being with that sort of programme. I have subscribed at wordpress to experience a blog and it is far from being obvious for me.
The job you are carrying on is just incredible and extremely motivating.
The reason why I am interested in your blog is the fact that I have an idea about a new e-twinning project and have already found 4 partners for the year 2009/20010. The idea of a blog is great and so motivating for kids.
I would like to get in touch with someone to help me work out that sort of blog for our new project ( I need step to step guidance) Anyone interested or crazy enough to help an “elderly” teacher who wasn’t born with a “mouse” in her hand but who is eager to learn. If I propose the idea of a blog to my European partners, I better know what I am talking about.
This message isn’t meant to be published, it is a “help, please” mail without forgetting to mention how excellent your blog is.
    Marie-France Munar. Brest. Brittany. France.

  14. Liliana Says:

    Hello, Marie!
Thank you very much for your message and for the nice words.
I published your entire message for the other partners to read it as well. In this way maybe you will find more teachers or students who could help you with your project.
I can help you as soon as the school year starts, i.e. on 15 September. In August I will have to take some exams and I will be a bit busy studying.
    All the best,
    Liliana

  15. dil okullari Says:

it would be better with other languages support, but thanks..

  16. Liliana Says:

    Hello, Dil!

Thanks for your advice! We agreed to use English all of us speaks it. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been very efficient.

  17. Chris Says:

You’re doing a great job! Congratulations!!! I’m going to tell my students about it.

  18. Marie-France Says:

    Hi Liliana,

I have been improving a lot since my last message I left on your blog. In January 2009, 7 of us will be sharing an exciting adventure and my expertise in blogging and administering a blog has improved a great deal. You are a reference as far as I am concerned. Thanks for showing us the way. I have trained on a personal blog before proposing my partners with the idea of feeding a blog-wiki for our next project. They are all very eager to start but it will be for september 2009.
    M.F 🙂

  19. Liliana Says:

Hi, Marie! That’s great news! If you need any help, please feel free to ask me. And please send us a link to your future blog.
    All the best,
    Liliana

  20. Marie-France Says:

    Hi Liliana,

I will certainly let you know how things are going. Right now, I am still learning and I keep at it but I have a long way to go.
Kind regards and thank you for offering help. I know I have to learn by doing, sweating and not succeeding at times ( like the kids we teach). Never give up!
    Merci beaucoup et à bientôt.
    Marie-France

  21. lehaj Says:

    HI.
    very very nice blog!!

  22. Liliana Says:

    Thank you very much, Lehaj!

    Liliana

  23. Marie-France Says:

May I ask how many administrators you have for this blog. I will be interested in knowing how you managed to have so many articles published.
    M.F

  24. Liliana Says:

    Hello again, Marie!

We have around nine administrators, but we also have editors and authors. Theses statuses depend on how much people choose to contribute. We managed to post lots of materials because we are many partners in this project in almost each of us contributed.
How are things going with your project?
    Liliana

  25. Marie-France Says:

Thanks for answering my question. I was intending to ask my 6 other partners to be administrators because it gives lots of freedom to each one of us to publish and moderate comments on the kids’work.
What difference is there between an author and an editor?
For our blog, each one of us will be posting his or her kids’works and be responsible for the content.
Things are going smoothly and we are little by little getting to know each other.
    M.F

  26. Liliana Says:

    Dear Marie,
It is a good idea to allow the other partners to have equal rights on the blog firstly because it generates harmony in your partnership (“no one has a special status, we are all equal when it comes to expressing ourselves”) and secondly because it is easier to administrate the blog when you share responsabilities.
Please access this link for a detailed answer to your question: http://74.125.77.132/search?q=cache:tNs-Ump_v-8J:codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities+blog+wordpress+difference+author+administrator+editor+contributor&hl=ro&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=ro.

    What’s your blog’s address?

    Liliana

  27. Liliana Says:

For those interested in the difference between different roles on a blog. Here they are:

    Administrator – Somebody who has access to all the administration features;

    Editor – Somebody who can publish posts, manage posts as well as manage other people’s posts, etc.;

    Author – Somebody who can publish and manage their own posts;

    Contributor – Somebody who can write and manage their posts but not publish posts;

Subscriber – Somebody who can read comments/comment/receive news letters, etc.

    Liliana

  28. Marie-France Says:

    Dear Liliana,

Thanks a lot. I will send you our blog address when it is registered on e-twinning. It shouldn’t be long now ( end of february). We are still building it up and be sure you will be the first informed once it is running.

Your information is very valuable to us.

    Marie-France

  29. M.F Says:

    Here I come again!
How do you manage to block comments which are made by people whose aim is only to promote their own blog?
Our blog is under construction and we already have people wanted to show themselves. “Vanity Fair”, you said?

  30. M.F Says:

    Hi Liliana,

We found the way to block unwanted people promoting their own blog. It tool us some time but it is done.
    By doing we are learning.
    M.F

  31. M.F Says:

    Hi Liliana,

That’s it, we are doing quite well on our common blog. It is still under construction but I am very proud of what we have all been able to do starting from scratch.
As I wrote before, our blog will be on etwinning once we are all set but you can already have a look at it. We use as it as an online training experience. We have a good coach and everyone is training at his or her own pace.
You can have a peep at the following address: http://www.surlesite.com/wordpress . If it doesn’t work, just type: European shores on Google and it appears.
Thanks for having shown us the way. I do hope we will be up to your standards.

  33. M.F Says:

    Hi there,
Thank you for inviting me to write posts from time to time. I tried this afternoon and got stuck when I wanted to add an image. The option doesn’t seem to be working despite the fact that it appears. How come? What shall I do?
I am quite used to using WordPress but it isn’t the same version apparently.
    Thanks for giving me hints.

All partners have been doing a great job to have it work.
one more request and we should all be set.

    Thank you in advance.
    Marie-France

  36. Liliana Says:

Great job, Marie! Congrats to you and your project partners!
When you choose the name of the blog you can write “an eTwinning project” as well just next to the title.
    Good luck!
